General Rules and Guidelines
Lemont Baseball and Softball Club has adopted the PONY standard rules and subsidized them with the additional rules provided. Please review the cliff notes version below. If you have any questions, please reach out to the LBSC Board of Directors.

Shetland
Base Distance: 55 Feet
Equipment: Helmet, Bat, Glove, Gym Shoes/Molded Cleats per Field Guidelines - No Metal Cleats
Batting Order
Continuous: Each batter bats each inning
Pitching
All players hit off the tee. June 1st you can do some coach-pitch if players are ready and then use Maverick pitching rules.
Innings
Games should be about 1 hour in length with at least 3 full innings.
Field Position
3rd, SS, SC, 2nd, 1st and the rest in the outfield. P Optional.
Coaches are present on defense to help players (as many as needed).
Maverick
Base Distance: 55 Feet
Equipment: Helmet, Bat, Glove, Gym Shoes/Molded Cleats per Field Guidelines - No Metal Cleats
Batting Order
Start with jersey #1 for inning 1 and then start with jersey #2 for inning 2 and continue where you left off each game.
Pitching
Coach is down on 1 knee throwing overhand or underhand from any distance to help the batter be successful.
~5 pitches and then the Coach brings out the tee.
Innings

Girls Softball: Pinto and Above
Boys Baseball: Pinto and Above
